Blaugust is just around the corner. It’s one of my favorite times of the year, though this one hangs a heavier with the recent passing of Bel. I am very glad that the event is running this year and applaud all the people who have worked hard to carry on the torch.

If you’re hearing about Blaugust from me, which I doubt, but just in case, it’s a month long challenge to write a post every day in the month of August. There are themes for each week if you so choose, some community events, and a lot of great discussions over on the Blaugust discord.

My Blaugust 2026 Plan
Seeing as I clocked a whole 3 posts for this year, I will personally be using Blaugust as a springboard to get back into regular blogging. EverQuest Legends releases on July 28th and I’m keen on trying that out . Having never played EverQuest but always been curious, this seems like it’s going to be a good way to do a little old MMO tourism. If I get bored of that before the end of the month, I can always fall back to writing about Old School Runesape. I’ve been playing that a lot this year.
I’m going to try and hit all 31 days. I’ve only done this one time, though I strive for it every year. My plan is to try to be ok with publishing shorter posts. It’s been such a lax blogging year for me, I feel like I just need to get some words on the screen and throw it out there, you know? Some good old fashion quantity over quality. Be sure to stick around for that!
